Community Foundation Awards Sustainability Grant to the Door County Medical Center Dental Clinic

The Door County Community Foundation has awarded the Door County Medical Center a Sustainability Grant from the Ruth & Hartley Barker Memorial Fund, the John and Nell Herlache Community Impact Fund and the Elizabeth “Betty” Lawrence Human Services Fund. This grant supports the Door County Medical Center Dental Clinic.

The Door County Medical Center Dental Clinic provides oral health care to the youth and adults of Door and Kewaunee Counties. The clinic serves those who are on Medicaid and/or those with no dental insurance that are low-income with no dental home.

“The shortage of oral health care is unmistakable based on the statistics at the Door County Medical Center Dental Clinic,” said John Herlache, board member of the Door County Community Foundation. “We are pleased to provide this grant which will help to ensure that no one in our community has to live with the pain of an unhealthy mouth.”
